Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fairway Golf (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info: email address, display name, avatar (optional), home course (optional), birthday (optional).
  • Round data: scorecards, hole-by-hole stats you choose to track, courses played, playing partners.
  • Device + technical: push notification token, app version, device platform, IP address, basic crash logs.
  • Location (optional, on round start): coarse GPS to verify the course you tagged. Stored as accuracy radius — we do not track your live location.
  • Purchase info: subscription status, original transaction id, expiration date. We never see your card numbers — payments are processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe.

2. How we use it

  • To run the Service: scorekeeping, leaderboards, your profile.
  • To compute your Fairway Score, achievements, and Course Passport.
  • To send push notifications you’ve opted into.
  • To detect suspect rounds (integrity engine).
  • To process subscription payments via Apple, Google, or Stripe.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data to advertisers.
  • We do not run third-party ad networks.
  • We do not share your data with insurance companies, employers, or data brokers.

4. Sharing with other players

Information visible to other players (display name, Fairway Score, public round results) is controlled by your privacy settings. Solo rounds and stats default to private; you can opt to share with friends or the public from Settings.

5. Subprocessors

We rely on the following services to operate Fairway Golf:

  • Supabase — database, auth, storage
  • Vercel — hosting
  • OneSignal — push notifications
  • RevenueCat — subscription management (iOS / Android)
  • Stripe — subscription management (web)
  • Resend — transactional email
  • Google Places — course images (optional)

6. Data retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we purge personally identifiable data within 30 days. Aggregated, de-identified statistics (e.g. course averages) may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

You can:

  • Access your data — visit your profile and Settings → Storage.
  • Update your data — edit your profile and preferences.
  • Delete your data — Settings → Account → Delete Account. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Export your data — email support@fairwayosyellow.com and we will provide a copy within 30 days.

8. Children

Fairway Golf is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. International data

Fairway Golf is operated from the United States. By using the Service from outside the US, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the US.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
